Pop en Rock

Twee jaar nadat Duncan Laurence het Eurovisie Songfestival won is er één ding duidelijk: Arcade belichaamt slechts het begin van zijn illustere loopbaan. Laurence’s debuutalbum Small Town Boy toont niet alleen zijn veelzijdigheid – van fluïde, dansbare pop tot melancholische, zachte liedjes –, het brengt alles messcherp in perspectief. Na zijn grote doorbraak in Amerika, waaronder een optreden bij Ellen Degeneres, zet Laurence zijn avontuur voort in het geliefde Rotterdam. Een thuiskomst die zijn muziek schikt: zowel groots als intiem.

LantarenVenster kent een rijke historie sinds 1949 als theater voor film, dans, theater en muziek aan de Gouvernestraat in Rotterdam. In oktober 2010 opende LantarenVenster haar deuren op de Wilhelminapier op de Kop van Zuid, in het lichte en ruimtelijke gebouw New Orleans. De focus ligt sindsdien op film en (jazz)muziek.
